Welcome to the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Model Metadata interface. This website provides free access to metadata (descriptive information) about environmental models, including facilities to download relevant model codes where these are in the public domain.
The aim is to provide access to a wide range of NERC funded environmental models via a searchable metadata database maintained by the NERC Data Centres. The intention is to ensure that appropriate metadata is captured about NERC funded environmental/earth science modelling, and so facilitate re-use of models, and knowledge exchange between modellers from different environmental science disciplines. Accordingly this system has been designated as the central repository for environmental/geoscience models submitted to the NERC Data Centres. The metadata database is gradually being populated with further models, and information about submitting your models to the system can be found on the "add your models" page.
